Native UI for OpenBullet 2

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that I’m working on a native UI client for OB2.
The client will be Windows-only and the interface will look similar to OB1 which you all love.

I decided to do this because of complaints of many users that don’t like the new web-based UI. You will still be able to use the current cross-platform web UI without any issue so if you want to keep using the web-based UI this update will not affect you.

Here is the current state of work, I will keep it updated while I work:

Guests and config sharing will not be included as these are exclusively remote features.
Localization will not be done for the native interface and I have no plans of adding it in the future. It will be English-only.

When I’m almost finished, I will open a crowdfunding campaign to fund the development before the release.

After the native UI is released, I plan to make it possible to run OB1 configs in OB2 by converting them to a new supported format. This way you will be able to access the latest features and better speed/stability without having to recreate your configs from scratch.

I do not have release dates for this project. It will be ready when it’s ready. I’m pushing the code to the native branch of the repository so if you want to check out the work in progress feel free to do so, but don’t expect anything usable until the final release!

Stay awesome,

Ruri

P.S. To all modders… yeah I’m looking at you… at least donate something if you’re just going to copy paste my work and make money off of it :stuck_out_tongue:
